Information For Our Guests

It's hard to believe that in one more week the lives of two people will be forever changed. Our lives will too soon resume a normal routine after our wedding but we will have celebrated this momentous occasion and cherish the memories it will bring. Thanks to those of you who are planning to attend. Those of you who are not going to make it can contact me about leaving a message on our "Wishes" page.

Getting to Finlay Park

Punch the address into your GPS and it will get you there. Finlay Park is located about 20k South of Cambridge. If you haven't been out there before you will definitely be feeling lost by the time you get nearby. Don't worry just keep going and enjoy the bucolic setting. Look for the sign and a narrow road that goes down the hill. One more very tight curve and then at the end of the road you have arrived! Check the map and the address on the site here:

Food, Drink and Fun!

There will be lots of it all! We are expecting about 40 people. My mother and the Finlay Park crew are putting together a menu that includes an entrée of prawn and oyster and mains of roast lamb, ham, and/or salmon. There are a few great Chinese cooks around so you can expect plenty of tasty side dishes as well. And, of course, cake! We will also be breaking out the bubbly and serving all manner of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. If you want the alcoholic kind please do plan on spending the night, we have some guest rooms and cabins available!

Several guests, including us, will be arriving on Saturday night, so feel free to stay on Sunday night as well. If you haven't told us already, let us know if you are planning to stay and we will find accommodation for you. If you are staying the night you will need to bring your own bedding, pillows and towels.

We will be serving meals from Saturday night on, so unless you have a special diet don't worry about brining your own food. If you need something special stop in Cambridge or somewhere before you head out because there is nothing nearby that is handy once you are out at the park.

Oh and don't forget to bring your togs! There are both cold and hot pools to take dips in.

Gifts

It comes much as an after thought that we get gifts for getting married. Don't be fussed if you can't think of anything. The greatest gift we could ask is for you to come and spend time with us. We did receive our first gift already along with a nice card from one of Xiao Hui's workmates. A set of towels! So if you forget your towels and decide to spend the night, don't worry we have a few extra.

When you wrote, "bring your own bedding", does the term bedding include blankets, or does it just mean sheets and pillowcases?
